Stern Warning to the Philippine Side to Stop Offending China’s Core Interest in Any Form

  5月8日下午，國防部新聞發(fā)言人張曉剛大校就近期涉軍問題發(fā)布消息。

  記者：據(jù)報道，菲美“肩并肩”軍演期間，中國山東艦航母現(xiàn)身菲北部海域，有分析認為這可能是對菲美軍演的回應(yīng)，或是對菲巡邏艦進入黃巖島水域的回應(yīng)。此外，菲海軍發(fā)言人聲稱，菲軍方與臺灣方面目前距聯(lián)合演練僅一步之遙。請問對此有何評論？

  Question: It is reported that during the Philippine-U.S. “Balikatan” exercise, the Chinese aircraft carrier Shandong appeared in the waters north of the Philippines. Some analysts believe this might be a response to the Philippine-U.S. military exercise, or to the Philippine patrol vessel’s entering into the waters near Huangyan Dao. Furthermore, the Philippine Navy spokesperson claimed that the Philippine military and Taiwan troops are only one step away from holding joint exercises. What is your comment on this?

  張曉剛：山東艦航母編隊在相關(guān)海域執(zhí)行年度訓練任務(wù)，進一步檢驗提升航母編隊體系作戰(zhàn)能力，符合國際法和國際慣例，不針對特定國家和目標。

  Zhang Xiaogang: The Shandong aircraft carrier task group was conducting its annual training mission in relevant waters to further test and enhance the integrated combat capabilities of the carrier task group. This is in accordance with international law and common practice, and is not directed at any specific country or target.

  菲律賓某些人為一己私利“倚外鬧?！?，拉攏美國等域外勢力壯膽打氣，破壞南海和平穩(wěn)定，還妄圖在臺灣問題上玩火滋事。我們正告菲方停止侵權(quán)挑釁，停止以任何方式?jīng)_撞中方核心利益。中方繼續(xù)采取堅決有力措施，捍衛(wèi)國家領(lǐng)土主權(quán)和海洋權(quán)益。

  Certain individuals in the Philippines are colluding with external forces such as the U.S., to “stir up the sea” for selfish gains, undermining peace and stability in the South China Sea region. They even attempt to play with fire on the Taiwan question. We sternly warn the Philippine side to cease its infringements and provocations, and stop offending China’s core interest in any form. China will continue to take resolute and forceful measures to defend its territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
